By invitation of performance artist Billie Secular the following spell was created and enacted on June 21st, 2023 embodying the word trust. The process of creating this piece engaged in social-research asking What does the word trust mean to you? What is your experience of it? How do you know you trust? With permission from the land, community participants were invited to co-create a land-based structure on the day of the event.

This piece was one within several of a larger community celebration at the La Tierra Trails in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

May we move at the speed of trust.

May we trust in our center, our breath.

May we trust the in emergent processes.

May we trust in the resiliency of our relations, our ability to repair.

May we trust in our heart’s capacity to open, again & again.

May we trust in all we do not see, the mystery.

May we trust in the pace of our journey.

May we tend to trust as a seed that grows, with attention & space.
